Like I said in the video I really really love the ILLAMASQUA paranormal collection. I personally think its an awesome brand and season after season they have crossed makeup boundaries. They are far from the norm when it comes to beauty brands. This is the first time i’ve ever bought a grape/violet lipstick for myself  #excitedmuch.

ESP LIPSTICK £16.50  described on the site as a “vivid violet,matt finish” its a very pigmented lipstick and will suit all skin tones. I did not have to line my lips with this product. However, I recommend you exfoliate your lips properly with homemade sugar & honey scrub before applying it.

SUPERNATURAL GLEAM £18.00 is a “warm bronze iridescent ” the light reflecting cream is my  favourite 2013 product.......I love it so much i’m going to get another one for my kit ;). Its a solid cream that’s the perfect highlight/bronzer for my brown skin. It goes on beautifully and does not move. I’ve never been a fan of cream on me but I love this cream highlighter.

REVIEW | PRACAXI OIL

I finally got my fresh 250ml bottle of Pracaxi oil from Akua the owner of SHEABUTTER COTTAGE    at the embrace me event yesterday. If you follow me on instagram (@halimabepo) or facebook, I always post the products I use on my skin. Pracaxi oil has been my staple product since summer 2012. 

I use the oil as a moisturiser at night because it leaves my skin really soft and radiant in the morning. 

“ The oil is very moisturising and used in improving skin tone and to help prevent hair loss. An excellent oil to use during pregnancy to help retain elasticity, pracaxi oil also conditions the hair making it easier to comb and also helps to promote shine”.

The reasons why I rave about this oil is because * Its extremely moisturising compared to coconut oil &co.....* Over time its helped to even out my skin tone and gradually fade my blackhead scars.....* due to its antibacterial/ anti fungal properties it helps sooth my eczema breakouts without irritating my skin. Pracaxi oil solidifies under cooler temperatures but place the bottle in hot water for a minute to melt it. 

Another good benefit of the oil is that it helps the pores around my nose,chin and cheeks appear smaller than before. As much as I love this oil, I do not use it under my makeup because it does not work well with makeup. 

Although I’ve only ever tried it on my hair once but paid no attention then to notice the effects it had on my hair, Akua recommended I introduce it to my hair care routine ( I’ll let you know how that goes). 

If you’re looking for an all in one natural oil PRACAXI oil is definitely worth checking out....I suggest you try the 30ml first ( featured in the picture above).

TUTORIAL | BROW BASICS & PRODUCT RECOMMENDATIONS

Brows like I said in the video are VERY personal, no one is the same and thats why when trying to learn how to groom or fill in your brows, don’t try to copy every single thing I’ve done. Instead, adopt my tips to suit your needs/preference. Mastering brows can take some time and practice. If you’re a beginner with brows, analyse your face face (different face shapes require different brow shapes).

Below is a useful chart I found online. It should guide you with discovering what kind of brows will suit your face. Also remember that not everyone needs to tweeze, thread or wax their brows. Some of you lucky ladies were blessed with perfect brows #jealous.

Below are tools I use to groom my brows and my clients ( obviously I have a separate set for my clients). These are basic tools you can find in your local drug store or market.

L-R BROW RAZOR,BROW/MANICURE SCISSORS AND TWEEZERS.

When it comes to which products to use to fill in your brows, I personally prefer wax/gel based products because there give me longer staying power. However, this might not work for Miss A or Miss C. For beginners, I recommend you start off practicing with a pencil especially if you do not have steady hands. When you eventually get the hang of using a pencil you can then upgrade your gear to a brow brush, I LOVE my brow brushes because I feel I achieve better results with them ( personal preference).
